What's
supporting your Home?
The most important
part of any home is the foundation. If this is not properly
engineered, built and poured the building it supports
will have problems or the pad itself will be compromised.
We
take a "House Built" construction approach to
our setups. Rather than simply using Vinyl
Soffit that offers no insulating value, no
wind or weather protection and certainly no structural
value we use the following:

1. An engineered pad (rebar and wire mesh incl.) based
on the home
that sits on 7 in. of 3/4 crushed stone for drainage
2. A row of 6 inch concrete block that act as an weather
guard. This
does not allow snow/ice/rain to seep through on top of
the pad.
3. 2x4 Stick Built skirting with 7/16 aspensite sheathing,
R12
Batt Insulation, and Siding to match your Unit.
4. 3 - Thermo Basement Casement windows for summer ventilation
5. 1 - Lockable Access Door
This setup offers a usable, clean, dry crawl space
that typically remains at
40 deg. F (even in February), which
means less
heat loss
and
warmer floors.
